handels\u00fcblicher Flachbrettscanner im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum verschiedene elektronische Ger\u00e4te und wird gleichzeitig selbst von diesen gescannt. Die Zweierpaarungen werden dokumentarisch mit einer festen Kameraeinstellung gefilmt. Die in den Begegnungen entstehenden Bilder erscheinen sukzessive, \u00fcberlagern das Filmgeschehen und verh\u00fcllen es teilweise. Das gegenseitige Abtasten der Ger\u00e4te wird von einer empathischen Filmmusik begleitet, die mit dem Ende eines Scanvorgangs ebenso abrupt endet. <br \/>Was geschieht, wenn ein Scanner andere Scanner scannt? K\u00f6nnen wir die ausgegebenen Bilder als Spuren einer maschinellen Begegnung lesen? K\u00f6nnen wir uns durch das Betrachten des Geschehens ein Bild vom Wesen der Dinge machen? Bleibt es uns g\u00e4nzlich verschlossen, wie es ist ein Ding zu sein? Was sagt das \u00fcber uns und \u00fcber unser Verh\u00e4ltnis zur Welt aus?<\/p><p>\/\/<\/p><p>In eight scenes, a commercially available flatbed scanner scans various electronic devices in public spaces and is simultaneously scanned by them itself. The pairings are filmed in a documentary manner with a fixed camera angle. The images created in the encounters appear successively, overlaying the film events and partially veiling them. The mutual scanning of the devices is accompanied by an empathetic film score that ends just as abruptly as the scanning process stopps.<\/p><p>What happens when a scanner scans other scanners? Can we read the output images as traces of a machine encounter? Can we get an idea of the essence of things by just looking at what happens? Does it remain completely closed to us what it is like to be a thing?
